Med tre faser i boligen, som er det normale i Danmark, lader bilen fra en 11 kW-ladeboks med fulde 11 kW, og VW angiver 6 timer og 30 minutter fra tomt til fuldt for 58 kWh-batteriet og 8 timer og 30 minutter for 77 kWh-batteriet. Et kabel på 22 kW kan være fornuftigt, når to biler skal dele ladeboksen og den ene har en 22 kW-lader, eller når du regner med, at næste bil får en.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eLadeklappen sidder bagest i højre side af bilen, så når du bakker ind, ender den tæt ved væggen, hvor seks meter kabel er nok til en ladeboks i den side. Ved forlæns indkørsel sidder klappen i den modsatte ende af den 4,62 meter lange bil, og kablet skal hele vejen langs højre side, så vælg otte meter. Med en ekstra bil parkeret mellem ID. Tiguan og væggen passer ti meter ved baglæns indparkering og 15 meter ved forlæns.
